What a wild ride last night with the wind. Hopefully all of you made it through the storm safely.
This week will be our last counted run from Ripples, and we will be giving away the grand prize from our November beer sponsor, Big Barn Brewing! Just a reminder that you must be present to win.
Next Thursday is Thanksgiving, so we will not be running that evening from the hotel. Instead, you can participate in the annual Turkey Trot at Manito Park, starting at 9am, and have that count as a run towards your total. Look for the Flying Irish tent in the park near the corner or 18th and Grand to sign in. There are no registration fees, but 2nd Harvest Food Bank will have a truck onsite accepting non-perishable food and cash donations.
50-Run Sweatshirt
The 50 Run sweatshirts are in! They will be available for purchase this week and December 3rd at the End of Season Party. While supplies last.
Flying Irish New Year’s Eve Party
Last year’s party was so much fun we thought we would bring it back again. Ripples will be hosting the Flying Irish in another epic New Year’s Eve Party. The room package is $99 and includes 2 entries into the party. An online code will be available soon. Reserve early before they sell out!
Flying Irish Board Elections
The following members were nominated for the positions up for election this year. Elections will be held at the End of Season Party on Dec 3rd.
Membership Director Nominee ~ Aaron Crooks
“I’ve been running with Flying Irish for two years now reaching 75 runs. In that time I’ve me a lot of great people and have made some very close friends. I have enjoyed my time on the Flying Irish board as the New Member Representative this year and I’d like to continue to serve the club as their Membership Director. I love what this great club has done for me and I’m thankful for any opportunity to give back.”
Volunteer Coordinator ~ Cassie Dickerson
“I am looking forward to next season with the Flying Irish! Some great new changes and opportunities. I’m excited to see what more we can do to build our community in a positive way!”
Secretary ~ Robert Teal
“I’ve been a regular member for some time now and have seen many great things the club has done. Anywhere I could I would offer ideas to club officers for runs or neat merchandise for the members. Now after just completing my 100th run I want to see how much more I can help by being a club officer. As my job deals with working with numbers and computers, I believe I can bring these skills to the position of Secretary. ”
