We are an IRISH running club after all and the month of March is one heck of a celebatory month for us! Our Annual St. Paddy’s Day Party is this Thursday and DJ Marathon is once again rocking it out along with a few other treats. Wear your green! Plus, its perfect timing to have a party as we will be celebrating something that no other running club in the region has done before!!
Negative Split and Adidas will both be at the run handing out free swag and also have lots of awesome shoes to try out. The Negative Split 1/2 marathon and 5k is coming up fast but you can still save some $ by using the special code of FLYINGIRISH to save 20%. We also have discounts for a lot of other races. You can find all those on our side-panel to the right.
Our newest idea for helping you look good and with your fluid replenishment. We want to hear your interest in aFlying Irish belt buckle with a built-in bottle opener. Shoot us an email if you are interested and if we get enough interest we’ll get ’em! The price would roughly be $30 and of course are made here in Spokane! Heck, even Batman is gonna be wanting one.
Thanks to all those who came out for the St. Paddy’s Day parade this past Saturday. Believe it or not we stayed dry but that should come as no surprise as it NEVER rains on the Flying Irish!
See you Thursday!

Parking For Flying Irish
We know a lot of you travel long distances each week to make our weekly run and to that we thank you. We have worked it out with a variety of the businesses in the area for free parking to help you save some money. All of those places can be located if you click on the image in the side-panel to the right of the weekly email. We want to remind you of one area that is not as welcoming to Flying Irish members and that is the parking lot directly across the street from Ripples. Parking there is at your own risk for fees and other unfortunate things. We tried working with them for a solution but that was to no avail. But no worries, as there is a ton of parking available at Ripples and also all the other locations that are highlighted blue that are friendly to Flying Irish members.
We started up our volunteer program last year so that the Flying Irish can help serve the Spokane athletic community that has given back to us in so many ways. There are a few events that are coming up that need volunteers and also events that we will have a presence at that will also need volunteers. The following list of dates are ones that we have coming up. If you are interested in volunteering please email Cassie, our Volunteer Coordinator, with your details at firstname.lastname@example.org
