It’s The Flying Irish St. Patty’s Day Party!
Since we’re an Irish running club, St. Patrick’s Day is naturally our favorite holiday, and this year the luck of the Irish is with us as our annual Flying Irish St. Patty’s Day party just happens to fall on St. Patrick’s Day! Wear your green and join us this Thursday as our friends at Negative Split and Fleet Feet will be in the house with music and lots of swag!
It was a big St. Patrick’s celebration this past weekend as the Flying Irish marched on Spokane in the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Saturday and represented at the St. Patty’s 5 Mile on Sunday. Check out the Flying Irish Facebook page for photos of the events!
Just like last year, we’ll be bringing in a new beer sponsor each month. To start things off, Ninkasi will be our featured brewery for the month of March and will be giving away a ton of swag. Not only that, but on March 31st, Ninkasi will be debuting a brand new beer; Beer Run IPA and they want the Flying Irish to test it out before it’s released to the public later this summer!
Parking For Flying Irish
We’ve been notified by the hotel that parking will be limited this Thursday. Additional parking is available behind the Holiday Inn.
Reflective Jackets Now On Sale
We may have sprung ahead last weekend, but we still want you to be seen while on the road! We’ll have our reflective jackets for sale this week so be safe, be seen, and be stylish!
10-Year Anniversary Shirt Markdown!
We’ve lowered the price of last year’s extremely popular 10 Year Anniversary Shirt to just $10. One might think we’re making room for something new…
Negative Split Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K Registration Discount!
Our friends at Negative Split are offering 20% off registration to the Negative Split Half Marathon, 5K, and newly added 10K with the discount code FLYING IRISH.
Team Out There Monthly Challenge
Hi friends! I’m a contributing writer for Out There Monthly, and I’m helping them coordinate a new program, the Team OTM Challenge, which encourages people to complete at least one participating race each month from May through October. We’re working with race directors of more than 30 events (and counting) in 2016 to provide a diverse selection of runs, rides, triathlons and other adventure races at discounted prices. You can sign up as an individual or as a 4-person team, and in addition to general fun, you’ll get a tech shirt, cool swag, prize drawings, and free beer (while supplies last) at our kick-off and wrap-up parties. Let me know if you’re interested or have any questions about the program. Cheers! –Janelle McCabe, firstname.lastname@example.org
