What a kick-off night that was! The start of the 2015 and 10th season of the Flying Irish is in the books and we started it off with a record. 512 of you were there last week, which is a new opening night record. Know what? We can celebrate that with cake!! In case you didn’t get your fill from last week, and need another reason to go out for a run we have some cake leftover that we will be serving up once again at this week’s run. Whoohoo!
Besides the cake we will have a few local races and such at the run this week giving away free entries. If you didn’t know, off to the right of this email is a list of all the upcoming races/events that the Flying Irish is involved with or has going on at our weekly run. Its a great way to find out what theme parties might be coming up. Wink wink. Hint hint. You can also find that information on our website at: https://flyingirish.org/races-discounts/Notice the part about discounts as well?!?! Yep, Flying Irish members get a lot of cool discounts including reduced room rates at Red Lion River Inn for all family and friends. Check it out and also the section just below has some details about how we will be celebrating St. Paddy’s Day!
We start running in the light!
See you Thursday!

St. Paddy’s Party 3/19 and Parade 3/14
We are an IRISH running club after all and the month of March is one heck of a celebatory month for us! So after this week’s festivities there are some other ones going on soon to set your sights on! Our Annual St. Paddy’s Day Party is March 19th and DJ Marathon is once again rocking it out along with a few other treats. Wear your green!
As in the past few years we will be marching in the St. Paddy’s Day Parade on Saturday March 14th. Meet up at Ripples that morning at 11am and join in as the Flying Irish march on Spokane!
Volunteers Needed
We started up our volunteer program last year so that the Flying Irish can help serve the Spokane athletic community that has given back to us in so many ways. There are a few events that are coming up that need volunteers and also events that we will have a presence at that will also need volunteers. The following list of dates are ones that we have coming up. If you are interested in volunteering please email Cassie, our Volunteer Coordinator, with your details at volunteercoordinator@flyingirish.org
