Thanks to all those who were a part of history and joining us in our 2015 and 10-Year Anniversay Group Photo! You all truly made it a special one! The photo is off to Runner’s World already so be on the lookout for that! If you click on the above image it will take you to where you can download it in full-size. Well, at least a size that we can host. The original is only 300mb in size. Thanks to Benjamin Boldt for doing all the work to make it happen! I hear he likes beer…

With the heat making it’s presence known the last few days its time to send out the annual reminder about double-run counts. If it hits 100f during the day of a Flying Irish run that night’s run counts as double! Since its looking to be a little warm at this week’s run were going to take a scenic route around the river to hopefully make you feel mentally cooler! And remember to stay hydrated!

Congrats to all the Flying Irish who did the Windermere Marathon and Half-Marathon this past weekend. We know it was a hot one out there but we hope that the presence of the Flying Irish tent on the course helped motivate you to the finish. If there is a race that is coming up within the area that you would like to see the Flying Irish bring some rocking volunteers to shoot an email to Cassie, our Volunteer Coordinator, at volunteercoordinator@flyingirish.org

You’ve been waiting since the beginning of the season (14 weeks ago already) and now they are in for a third time! The 10-Year Anniversary shirt are in and they are looking awesome with 3,507 names on it representing all of the people who have earned their illustratious and world-famous 6-run shirt! We will have them for sale before the run. $15/each and we can accept cash, card or check. This will most likely be the last time we will put in an order so make sure to grab one at this week’s run!

See you Thursday!

Grand Poobah – Brendan

Flying Irish Virgin Slayer

Get your friends to join and win some swag! A lot of you have brought friends and family over the years to the Flying Irish and continue to do so. Well, we want to recognize those who bring the most new members, Virgins, to the Club. Starting at this week’s run, as new members join we will have them put down who referred them. The more times your name is mentioned as the one who referred them provides you with more chances to win the monthly title of Flying Irish Virgin Slayer and of course free stuff. At the end of the year we will announce who the 2015 Flying Irish Virgin Slayer is. Let the slaying begin!

Volunteers Needed

We started up our volunteer program last year so that the Flying Irish can help serve the Spokane athletic community that has given back to us in so many ways. There are a few events that are coming up that need volunteers and also events that we will have a presence at that will also need volunteers. The following list of dates are ones that we have coming up. If you are interested in volunteering please email Cassie, our Volunteer Coordinator, with your details at volunteercoordinator@flyingirish.org
