We have a cold front… in the 80s! After two runs of back to back 100 degrees we can chill out just a little. And if you ran either of the last two weeks your run(s) counted as double. Although we won’t be able to go for a triple we will have some fun at this week’s run. There are two options to choose from for this week’s run. The first is of course our regular run (same time and place) but the other option is the Cherry Pickers Trot at Greenbluff. If you choose the latter you can signup online prior (using the code: FLY2015) or on-site. To get your run counted though, find our tent and the attendance sheets will be there. You have to sign-in to get your run counted.
One of the biggest fundraisers for the Flying Irish is the Dirty Dash and its this weekend! You can still signup online and save 20% by using the code FLYINGIRISH. Don’t miss out on the muddy fun. As Arnold knows, its a good as any other to stay cool and of course avoid aliens.
We start the second-half of the season at this week’s run! Let’s see if we can keep it going through the heat of summer. Who knows, maybe the heat will make me slightly delirious and I come up a random idea like another world record prancercise run. I think we have it in us for another completely random world record. If you have an idea for one shoot us an email. You could one-day say to your grand kids that not only were you a part of a world record but you’re the one that came up with the idea for the largest _____. And we don’t shy away from most things so send us your crazy ideas!
Spokane to Sandpoint Relay is coming up fast (still time to get your teams together) and we could use some volunteers to help out! For every volunteer we get to help out, the Club receives $50 from the Relay. Come out help out a great event and help the Flying Irish get some extra funding!
See you Thursday!

New Wearable Technology With Discounts for Flying Irish!
We were able to get the hookup with Life-Beam that is making some wearable electronics that you may be interested in. Not only will their hats keep you cool but you won’t have to worry about wearing a heart rate monitor strap again. That’s right it can measure you heart rate while you wear it and also keep track of your cadence and send it all to your phone or GPS watch. Its some pretty nifty stuff. Using the code: flyingirish will get you free shipping and 10% off. Check them out at: https://life-beam.com
Volunteers Needed
We started up our volunteer program last year so that the Flying Irish can help serve the Spokane athletic community that has given back to us in so many ways. There are a few events that are coming up that need volunteers and also events that we will have a presence at that will also need volunteers. The following list of dates are ones that we have coming up. If you are interested in volunteering please email Cassie, our Volunteer Coordinator, with your details at volunteercoordinator@flyingirish.org
Note: By unsubscribing you are relinquishing all rights to receive required notices as identified in the Bylaws of the Flying Irish Running Club.
