Now that I have your attention. At least for the next 8 seconds or so… We’re going to have a bit of fun at this week’s run. Cascade Lakes Relays, the guys who put on the awesome Spokane To Sandpoint Relay(discounts on the right) want to show a little appreciation to all the Flying Irish who have ran in their relay over the years. So they decided to bring in a bunch of kegs from Ghost Runners Brewery out of Vancouver, WA. Sounds great huh?!?! Well, it gets even better. Color Me Rad(discounts on the right) will be there will some awesome swag to hand out for FREE. And, we were able to convince a few of the shoe companies to come in a day early for the Bloomsday tradeshow to have a special mini-tradeshow with some super discounts just for Flying Irish members at the run. So where and how can you get the free beer and discounts? We will meet for the pre-run announcements at the Red Lion at the Park (we are not at Ripples this week). As you run the route (a new route we created just for this week) we will have an interactive chalk station (read more on that below) that would be awesome if you stopped and partook in. And then as you finish up the route you will swing by Fleet Feet. And there, will be where all the fun will be had! Make sure to bring your ID and $. Since we’re going to have a bit of fun there, and thats also where the beer is at, we are going to do the shirting ceremony at Fleet Feet. Fortunately its only 1/4 mile away from Red Lion. We will be attempting to figure out a way of transporting post-run clothing and such to Fleet Feet so you don’t have to run back to the hotel and grab stuff.
Whooo! That was a long one!! See you Thursday!

Chalk Out Cancer
Arm your selves for a side walk chalk extravaganza. We’re calling on all flying Irish member to help a fellow member of our club raise some awareness for an incredible cause. Allison Perrine is a 23 year old nursing student at WSU, she will be biking 4,000 miles across America to raise money and awareness for young adults with cancer. SHE NEEDS OUR HELP. As we run through Riverfront Park we will be chalking inspiring messages to raise awareness and to honor our loved ones who have or are currently battling cancer. Bring your sidewalk chalk and get ready to have some fun.

Volunteers Needed
We started up our volunteer program last year so that the Flying Irish can help serve the Spokane athletic community that has given back to us in so many ways. There are a few events that are coming up that need volunteers and also events that we will have a presence at that will also need volunteers. The following list of dates are ones that we have coming up. If you are interested in volunteering please email Cassie, our Volunteer Coordinator, with your details at volunteercoordinator@flyingirish.org
